Mr writer

The cleaver Boffin that is Mr H has written an article for the Design Assembly.
I'd recommend you all go have a read as a) he's far more eloquent that I am and b) it's good to get the old brain box thinking and questioning life every now and again.
Let's hope he keeps it up and writes some more things for me to ponder over!
go read here

Yoshikazu Yamagata

I'm loving these images and work by Yosikazu Yamagta.
Check out more of the work here.

design and knit

I've been developing the work i did over the summer at the RCA and now have a line up of 9 outfits which i'm taking forward and working on.
This is what it's looking like at the moment:

The garments are going to be knitted mainly using techniques such as holding checks and tucking on the dubied as well as a bit of hand knitting and i'm also going to be sampling on the morat computer aided knitting machine which is also pretty exciting.
So altogether it's still bright, colorful and and fun but has a few more gauges of knitting in it and a more sophisticated level of knitting and finishings.
That's what i'm hoping for anyway!

New Friends

Sorry for my absence.
College, blah, blah, blah...
I have acquired some new friends however...
pretty fun!
And miss G also found some new pals in knitted form too.
Perhaps I should start up some sort of zoo.

Polaroid

Mr H, my mom, my dad and myself all took a trip to the Alas Gallery on saturday.
The gallery's current exhibition is celebrating the Polaroid and reminding us that the 9th of October marked the date when the last batch of Polaroids reached it's expiry date.
There was a rang of pictures on show my fav being those of Walker Evans as well as an amazing polaroid of Peter Sellers with Ursula Andrews taken by Philippe Halsman/
There were also a few of Andy Warhol's polaroids including two self portraits.
The exhibtion isn't massive but there is a good range of photography and i left with a sense of saddness that the polaroid will now be a thing of the past.
